Where the zombie pet hug trend came from

The zombie love story grew from AI hug videos and short zombie films in late September 2026, then broke out on TikTok in early October. Pet versions followed. Credit original creators by handle when you remix a trend; every clip here is newly generated from your photos.

Story beats: survivor in tears lowers the gun, the pet leaps into a hug, then a hard match cut to a sunny memory place. No blood, no gore. Audio is an original piano score—no copyrighted songs.

How to make it in 3 steps

  1. 1. Upload two photos

Image 1 is you. Image 2 is your pet. Still model: gemini-nano-banana-2.1-ext.

  2. 2. Approve the free watermarked still

Signed-in accounts get 2 watermarked stills per UTC day.

  3. 3. Spend 4 credits on the video

Wan 3.0 (wan3.0-video) makes a 15s, 720p clip with original sound. Resolution is always sent as 720P.

Which pets work best

Cats and dogs both work. Use a sharp photo with the whole body and a clear face. One animal in image 2.

Two photos you need (you + your pet)

Image 1: you, face visible. Image 2: your pet, whole body preferred. Do not blend faces—the prompts keep you and your pet as separate subjects.

Still

Use the two uploaded images as the base. The person in the first image is the survivor. The animal in the second image is their pet, now a zombie. Keep the person's face, facial features, hair and body shape exactly the same as in their photo. Keep the animal's breed, size, face shape, fur color, ear shape and markings exactly the same as in its photo, so it is clearly the same pet. Do not blend the person and the animal. A still from a real zombie apocalypse film, inside a dim, abandoned farmhouse kitchen in daytime: dusty floor, an overturned chair, peeling walls, cold blue-grey daylight through dirty windows, floating dust. On the left, in the foreground, the survivor stands in three-quarter view facing right, in a dusty, worn version of their own outfit, and holds a wooden baseball bat raised in both shaking hands. The survivor's eyes are wet and red, one tear runs down one cheek, the lips are pressed together: they cannot do it. The survivor's face is clearly their own, not twisted by crying. On the right, a few steps away in the open doorway, the pet stands on all four legs facing the survivor: the same animal, now a zombie, with dull, matted, patchy fur, grey skin showing through, clouded milky-white eyes and a low, sad stance. Its face is still clearly the same pet. The survivor is shown from the knees up, the pet is shown whole, both faces clear and in focus. Muted teal and grey color grade, natural film grain, shallow depth of field, photorealistic, not CGI. Vertical 9:16. Exactly one person and one animal, no blood, no gore, no text, no logos.

Video · 15s

A cinematic, emotional scene from a zombie apocalypse film, in two shots. Keep the person's face, hair and clothes and the pet's breed, fur color and face exactly as in the image. Shot 1: in the dim abandoned kitchen, the survivor holds the baseball bat raised with shaking hands, with tears in the eyes. The zombie pet in the doorway stops, tilts its head and looks at the survivor as if it remembers them, and its tail moves once. The survivor slowly lowers the bat, lets it drop to the floor, kneels down and opens their arms. The pet limps forward into their arms, and the survivor hugs it tightly with quiet tears, eyes open, the face still visible to the camera. Shot 2, a hard cut for the last seconds: a sunny green backyard at golden hour, the same person and the same pet, healthy again with clean, shiny fur; the pet runs into the person's arms, wags its tail and licks their face while the person laughs. Audio: an original slow, sad piano melody with soft strings and quiet breathing that turns warm and hopeful at the cut. No dialogue, no lyrics, no blood, no gore, no text, no logos.

FAQ

Is the zombie pet video gory or scary?

No gore and no blood. The still and video prompts forbid gore. Makeup is light: dull fur and milky eyes. The story is sad then hopeful, not a jump-scare clip.

How do people make the zombie cat video?

Upload your face as image 1 and your pet as image 2. Nano Banana composites both into one first-frame still. Approve the free watermarked still, then spend 4 credits for the 15 second 720p video with original piano.

Where do I get the prompt?

You do not need to write one. The page uses locked still and video prompts. Copy them from the Prompts section below or the prompts page if you want to read them.

Is it a real movie?

No. Every clip is newly generated AI video from your photos. Credit trend creators when you remix a style, and label the result as AI where a platform asks.

What photo works best for my cat or dog?

Use a sharp pet photo with the whole body and a clear face. Toggle dog or cat before you generate. Image 1 must be a single adult face, not a group shot.

How long is the zombie hug video and how much does it cost?

Every paid Zombie Cat video is 15 seconds at 720p, with an original piano score. It costs 4 credits. Signed-in accounts get 2 watermarked stills per UTC day. Packs: $9.99 for 2 credits, $19.99 for 6 credits, and $49.99 for 18 credits.

Can I set a memory place or aspect ratio?

Yes. Optional memory place text sets the sunny match-cut location (meadow, snowy slope, and similar). Aspect ratio options are 9:16, 16:9, and 21:9.

Do I need to be 18?

Yes. Tick the 18+ and rights checkbox. Image 1 must be you or an adult who agreed. Image 2 is your pet. No celebrity lookalikes.
