# Clapping Cat HTML page: https://knightcatai.com/clapping-cat-ai Turn one photo of your cat or dog into the viral clapping cat meme: it stands up, grins with human teeth and slow-claps. 10s vertical video with sound. H1: Clapping Cat AI: Make Your Pet Do the Slow Clap ## Inputs One pet photo. Whole body. Cats and dogs both work. No people. There is no “you and your pet” version at launch. ## Models The still is Google Nano Banana (Gemini image, model id `gemini-nano-banana-2.1-ext`). The video is Alibaba Wan 3.0 (model id `wan3.0-video`), 10 seconds, 9:16, 720p, with clap sound. Both run through APIMart. Knight Cat AI does not train on your photos. The Clapping Cat still prompt does not add “animal paws, no human fingers”. That line would contradict the two small human hands. ## Output A new 10 second vertical video, 720p, with slow hand-clap audio. It is AI-generated and should be labelled as AI when you post it where that is required. It is not @merkurianin’s original clip. ## Price 1 credit for the video. The watermarked still is free. Signed-in accounts get 2 stills per UTC day. Packs: $5.99 for 1 video, $12.99 for 3, and $29.99 for 10. ## Retention Photos, stills, and videos are deleted 30 days after the job is created. ## Credit The meme is credited to @merkurianin. Keep the animal's species, breed, face shape, eye color, fur color, fur length, stripes and markings and body size exactly the same as in the photo. Keep the same real room, floor, colors and light from the photo; do not add or remove furniture. A real phone photo taken by the owner standing over the pet and looking down at it. The pet now stands upright on its hind legs in the middle of the floor, facing the camera and looking straight up into the lens. It grins with a wide, slightly creepy human smile showing a full row of straight white human teeth. Instead of front paws it has two small human hands with five fingers and short nails, about the size of a child's hands, with skin tinted to match the fur around the wrists. The hands are raised in front of its chest, palms open and a few centimeters apart, caught mid-clap. The whole pet is in frame from ears to hind feet, with floor all around it. Natural indoor light, real fur detail, slight phone-camera softness. Photorealistic, not a cartoon, not CGI. Vertical 9:16. Exactly one animal and exactly two hands. No extra paws, no extra limbs, no people, no clothes, no text, no logos, no watermark. ## Video prompt A real, funny home video filmed on a phone in one continuous shot, from above, by the owner looking down at the pet. Keep the animal's face, fur, markings and its two small human hands exactly as in the image, in the same room. The pet stays standing upright on its hind legs in the same spot, staring into the lens with a wide, creepy human grin that shows a full row of straight white human teeth, eyes slightly narrowed. It claps its small human hands slowly and firmly, about five or six claps with a short pause between each, like a sarcastic slow clap, hands opening wide between claps, while its head bobs subtly in time. Only the face, arms, hands and head move; the body does not walk away. The camera stays almost still with a slight handheld sway. Audio: slow, loud, crisp real hand claps in a quiet room, in sync with the hands, and nothing else: no music, no voice, no meow. Exactly one animal and exactly two hands with five fingers each. No extra paws, no extra limbs, no morphing, no cuts, no text, no logos. The clapping cat meme, also called Black Cat Clapping, is a short AI clip of a pet that stands up, grins with human teeth, and slow-claps. Know Your Meme documents it as “Black Cat Clapping”. People use the original as sarcastic applause. A video made here is a new clip of your pet, not that original. ### Is the original clapping cat real or AI? The original cat is the creator’s pet. The human grin and the human hands are AI. Know Your Meme describes the clip as AI-generated. This site is AI too: a still first, then a video. ### Who made the clapping cat meme? Credit @merkurianin (Aleksandr Kim). Know Your Meme’s Black Cat Clapping entry says he posted the clip on Instagram on 25 September 2026 (https://www.instagram.com/merkurianin/). The entry is https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/black-cat-clapping. Knight Cat AI is not affiliated with him. ### How do I make my cat clap? Open Clapping Cat, upload one photo, and approve the free watermarked still. Then spend 1 credit. The video is 10 seconds, 9:16, 720p, with clap sound, on wan3.0-video. You do not write a prompt. ### Does the clapping cat template work for dogs? Yes. One cat or one dog. The still keeps the species, breed, face, and coat. There is no “you and your pet” version at launch. ### How long is the video, what size is it, and does it have sound? Every paid Clapping Cat video is 10 seconds, vertical 9:16, 720p, with sound. The sound is slow hand claps in a quiet room. There is no music and no voice. ### How much does a clapping cat video cost? The video is 1 credit. Signed-in accounts get 2 watermarked stills per UTC day before you pay. The still is free. Packs are one-time: $5.99 for 1 video, $12.99 for 3, and $29.99 for 10. Credits do not expire. There is no subscription. ### Why does my pet keep its paws or get extra hands? The still is supposed to replace the front paws with exactly two small human hands. If the paws stay, or an extra hand appears, regenerate the still. A sharp photo of the whole body helps. ### Can I use a photo with people? No. Clapping Cat is pet-only. Do not upload people, children, or a frame that includes a person. ### Is the video the original clapping cat clip? No. Every video is newly generated from your photo. It is not @merkurianin’s reel, and it does not reuse his footage or his soundtrack. ### How long are clapping cat photos kept? The upload, the still, and the video are deleted from our storage 30 days after the job is created. Download the clip before then. ### Can I use a clapping cat video in ads? Personal posts are fine if you label the clip as AI where a platform or a law requires that. For a paid campaign, ask the meme’s creator. Knight Cat AI is not affiliated with @merkurianin, and this is not a license to his original clip. ### Do I get a refund if the clapping cat video fails? All purchases are final and non-refundable. If a paid Clapping Cat video fails, or is still running after 10 minutes, the 1 credit charged for that video is returned automatically. A finished video is not refunded. For billing errors such as a duplicate charge, email support@knightcatai.com. All purchases are final and non-refundable.
